Are Starbucks® Coffee Enhancer packaging recyclable ?

Yes, the Starbucks® Coffee Enhancer packaging is recyclable! Simply place the bottle in your recycling bin after removing the sleeve.


For Alberta residents, please do not remove the sleeve when recycling. Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers can be returned to your local bottle depot for a refund.

Where can I buy Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers?

They are available for purchase at your local grocery store in the refrigerated dairy section.

What is the shelf life of Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers?

Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers should be used within 14 days after opening or before the use-by date, whichever comes first. The shelf life can vary due to packaging materials and manufacturing locations.


Shake Before Use. Do Not Freeze. Keep Refrigerated. Store Between 33°F and 45°F. For Best Quality, use within 14 Days of Opening.

How should I store Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers?

All Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers must be refrigerated at all times, before and after opening. Store between 33 and 45 degrees F. Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers should not be frozen. It may cause separation of the ingredients.

Is there coffee in the product?

There is no coffee or caffeine in the Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers.

No, Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers are made with no artificial colours, flavours or sweeteners.

Are Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers Gluten-free?

No, Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers are not Gluten-free.

Are Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers kosher or halal?

Starbucks® Coffee Enhancers are kosher, they do not currently have halal certification (the only animal by-products are milk from cows).


Are Starbucks® coffee K-Cup® pods recyclable?

Yes, Starbucks® coffee K-Cup® pods are recyclable in select locations, but may not be recycled in your area. Please check with your local recycling facility for updated information. 
In municipalities that accept them, K-Cup® pods can be recycled in 3 easy steps: 

  1. Allow the pod to cool. Starting at the puncture, peel and dispose of the lid.
  2. Compost or discard coffee grounds. Filter can remain.*
  3. Recycle the empty K-Cup® pods in the recycling bin.

Some municipalities require additional steps. Please check locally to validate what specific instructions might apply in your area.
*When recycling K-Cup® pods containing hot chocolate or specialty beverages, step 2 is not required.

How do I de-scale my Keurig machine?

We generally recommend de-scaling your brewer every 3 months. Customers with a higher mineral content may consider de-scaling more frequently. When brewers are not de-scaled, a build-up of scale may accumulate inside, causing the brewer to malfunction.


We do not recommend using well water, distilled, or softened water. Good quality drinking water is necessary for a great tasting beverage.

I have grounds in my cup, what do I do?

Follow these simple steps to troubleshoot:


  1. Unplug the coffee maker and clean the entrance and exit needles, please be careful the needles are sharp! A video tutorial link is here
  2. Perform 3 cleansing brews with an 8oz cup until the water is clear and has no grounds in it
  3. Brew with a Starbucks® coffee Keurig pod
  4. Are there still grounds in the cup? Please contact Keurig directly at 1-866-901-2739
There is no flow/no brew or not brewing a full cup, what do I do?

Follow these steps to troubleshoot:


  1. If you are using a My K-Cup® Reusable filter, troubleshoot without using the accessory (use a pod when brewing).
  2. If you are using pods, check the bottom of the used pod for exit needle puncture. If there is a puncture hole, continue with the below steps. If not, you will need to purchase a new pod holder, reach out to Keurig Canada Consumer Care 1-800-361-5628 to order to part.
  3. Unplug the coffee maker and clean the entrance and exit needles. Be careful, the needles are sharp! Tutorial video here.
  4. Perform 3 cleansing brews with an 8 oz cup until the water is clear and has no grounds in it.
  5. Brew with a Keurig pod.

Are K-cup® pods phthalate and BPA free?

Our specifications require that our pods be constructed from plastic which does not contain BPA or phthalates.

Are K-cup® pods Kosher?

Yes, the Starbucks® coffee K-cup® pods are certified Kosher.


What is the difference between Nespresso® Original Line and Nespresso® Vertuo machines?

The Original Line machines have high pressure pump extraction technology, offer cup sizes up to 110 ml, and are an open system to third party capsules. Vertuo machines use centrifusion extraction technology, offer a wider range of cup sizes up to 414 ml, and are a patented closed system where Starbucks® is the only compatibles brand.

Will Starbucks® by Nespresso® capsules work in all Nespresso® machines?

Starbucks® by Nespresso® for Vertuo capsules are compatible with all Nespresso® Vertuo machines. Starbucks® for Nespresso® Original capsules are compatible with all Nespresso® Original Line machines.
