How To Store Coffee Beans
STEP 1

Keeping your coffee beans fresh means keeping them away from air, moisture, heat, and light.

STEP 2

Coffee beans normally come in bags designed to keep them fresh.

STEP 3

Starbucks® coffee bean bags have one-way valves to stop air and moisture from getting in.

STEP 4

You can also keep coffee beans fresh by protecting them against light and heat by storing them in a cool, dark, dry place in your kitchen.

You can store them in a pantry, a cupboard, or even tucked away on a shelf out of the light, and away from moisture to ensure they stay as fresh as possible, for as long as possible.

STEP 5

Coffee beans look lovely in a jar – but avoid clear containers.

STEP 6

We’d recommend leaving your coffee beans in their Starbucks® bag, where they’ll stay fresh and flavourful.

Or you can store them in an opaque, air-tight container at room temperature. If you choose to store your Starbucks® coffee beans in a container, make sure that it seals properly to prevent air and moisture from affecting the freshness and quality of the coffee beans.
